Fine Lines
& Wrinkles

From the first expression lines to deeper creases, there are proven treatments for every stage, and no single solution is right for everyone. We'll help you find yours.

Understanding the Concern

Not all lines are the same, and treatment matters

Fine lines and wrinkles have multiple causes, and the most effective treatment depends on exactly what's driving them in your face.

Wrinkles develop through two distinct mechanisms: repeated muscle movement (dynamic wrinkles) and loss of collagen, elastin, and volume over time (static wrinkles). Many patients have both, which is why a combination approach often produces the most natural-looking results.

At Florida Aesthetics, your consultation always starts with an honest evaluation, we identify which type of wrinkles you're dealing with, what's causing them, and which treatments will actually make a meaningful difference for you specifically.

Dynamic Wrinkles
Caused by repeated facial muscle contractions, crow's feet, forehead lines, frown lines between the brows (11s). These respond exceptionally well to neurotoxins like Botox and Xeomin, which temporarily relax the muscle.
Static Wrinkles & Volume Loss
Caused by collagen degradation, fat pad loss, and skin thinning over time, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, under-eye hollows. Dermal fillers restore volume; laser and skin treatments rebuild collagen from below.
Skin-Texture & Surface Lines
Fine crepey lines, rough texture, and superficial sun-damage-related lines. These respond best to laser resurfacing (Halo, Moxi), chemical peels, and medical-grade topical retinoids, treatments that rebuild and refine skin quality.
Recommended Treatments

How we treat fine lines & wrinkles

We've organized our recommendations by treatment priority, what we most commonly recommend first, and what we layer in for enhanced results.

First Line Most commonly recommended for this concern
Botox and Xeomin

Botox & Xeomin

Best for: forehead, crow's feet, 11s (glabellar)

Neurotoxins are the gold standard for dynamic wrinkles. By temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause expression lines, Botox and Xeomin smooth existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming. Results last 3–4 months.

No downtime Results in 3–7 days 3–4 months

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Best for: nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lips, hollows

Hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Restylane) restore the volume loss that causes deeper static wrinkles. Unlike neurotoxins, fillers physically fill the area, immediately smoothing folds and restoring facial contour.

Immediate results Minimal downtime 9–18 months

Halo Hybrid Laser

Halo Hybrid Laser

Best for: overall skin quality, texture, fine surface lines

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser combining ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in one pass, resurfacing the skin surface while stimulating deep collagen production. One of the most effective treatments for comprehensive skin quality improvement.

3–7 day downtime Long-lasting 1–3 sessions

Enhancers Often combined with first-line treatments for better results
RF Microneedling

RF Microneedling

Best for: skin laxity, deep lines, overall tightening

Radiofrequency microneedling delivers heat energy into the deep dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving skin firmness and reducing wrinkle depth over multiple sessions.

24–48hr downtime 3-session series

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels

Best for: surface texture, superficial lines, tone

Medical-grade chemical peels (VI Peel, ZO, TCA) accelerate cell turnover to remove damaged surface skin cells and stimulate new collagen growth. Effective for superficial fine lines and uneven skin texture.

3–7 day peeling Series recommended

Common Questions

Fine lines & wrinkles FAQ

There's no single right age, it depends on your genetics, sun exposure history, and skincare habits. Many patients start with preventive Botox in their late 20s to early 30s to slow the formation of dynamic wrinkles before they become static. Others don't seek treatment until they notice lines that bother them. At your consultation, we'll evaluate your specific situation and give you an honest recommendation, including if we don't think treatment is warranted yet.
Only if over-injected or placed incorrectly. A skilled injector doses Botox to soften movement, not eliminate it entirely. Our injectors have extensive experience with natural-looking results, and we always start conservatively with new patients. You should still be able to fully express yourself; you'll just look less tired or tense doing it.
For mild surface lines and prevention, prescription-strength retinoids (Tretinoin) and Vitamin C serums have genuine clinical evidence. For moderate to deep wrinkles, topicals alone won't produce meaningful reversal, they work best as maintenance after an in-office treatment. We prescribe medical-grade skincare as part of every anti-aging plan and are honest about what it can and can't accomplish on its own.
This is exactly what your free consultation is for. In general: Botox is for wrinkles that appear with movement (squinting, raising your brows, frowning). Fillers are for wrinkles that are visible at rest, particularly around the mouth and under the eyes. Laser is for skin quality issues: texture, tone, and crepey surface lines. Many patients benefit from a combination. We'll evaluate your face and tell you exactly what we'd recommend.
It depends on the treatment. Botox typically lasts 3–4 months; some patients extend to 4–6 months over time. Dermal fillers last 9–18 months depending on the product and placement. Laser results (Halo, Moxi) are longer-lasting since they stimulate collagen production, the collagen you build is yours to keep, though natural aging continues. Your provider will give you realistic expectations specific to your treatment plan.
