What happens during a Sculptra appointment?

Consultation & assessment (15 min)
Your provider evaluates facial volume loss patterns, discusses your goals, and determines the number of vials and sessions appropriate for your anatomy. Sculptra is a gradual process, we'll set realistic expectations for when you'll see results and how they'll progress.

Reconstitution & prep (10 min)
Sculptra powder is reconstituted with sterile water and lidocaine at least 72 hours before your appointment (this is standard protocol, improper reconstitution is the most common cause of nodule formation). Topical numbing cream is applied.

Treatment (20–30 min)
Using a grid-injection technique with a fine cannula, your provider deposits Sculptra in the deep dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The number of injection points and depth are carefully controlled to ensure even distribution and minimize the risk of nodules.

Post-care massage protocol (5 min)
The 5-5-5 rule: massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days. This distributes the product and prevents clumping. You'll receive a written aftercare card. Your next session is typically scheduled 4–6 weeks later.
